Borough President Molinaro To Host 3rd Annual Bloomingdale Park Halloween Extravaganza

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Borough President James P. Molinaro will host the Third Annual Bloomingdale Park Halloween Extravaganza on Saturday, October 28th from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The park is located at Lenevar and Ramona avenues.

Staten Islanders of all ages are invited to don their Halloween costumes and join the Borough President and his staff for a fun afternoon at our Borough’s newest park. The  activities include pumpkin picking and decorating, pony rides, a puppet show, craft projects, and games and prizes. Children can have a Polaroid photo taken at a hay wagon and will receive a trick-or-treat bag with goodies, as well as 12 free tickets for games and craft activities.

“Each year, more and more children and their families come to our annual  Halloween Extravaganza to celebrate the holiday in a safe and fun environment,” said Molinaro. “We first held this event three years ago to showcase Bloomingdale Park, the newest addition to the ‘Borough of Parks,’ and the event was a huge success. We look forward to an even bigger event this year.

“I look forward to seeing all the wonderful costumes, and I would remind parents to bring their cameras to capture some precious memories,” Molinaro added.

The activities will take place at the playground and ballfields adjacent to Ramona and Lenevar avenues. Parking is available on Maguire Avenue. For more information, please call Joanne Nuzzo, Director of Special Events, at 718-816-2133.
