Borough President Molinaro with Staten Island Volunteers at the 2009 State of the Borough

At his 2009 State of the Borough Address, Borough President James P. Molinaro announced he will be undertaking a major campaign to increase public awareness about volunteering. Volunteering is a rewarding experience and the Borough President encourages Staten Islanders to use their skills to help the community.

“In these difficult times, we must tap into one of our strongest assets – people helping people,” Molinaro said. The Borough President's office will coordinate volunteer opportunities with NOVA and RSVP/SERVE.
